Your foot is designed to move in over 150 different positions. Three times your body weight passes though your foot with every step. When you run, the impact on your heel is over 2,000 pounds per square inch - that's a bone-pounding 1,000 kilos for every strike of your heels! It's no wonder that even minor disturbances in the alignment of the feet can cause lower back pain and upset the proper balance of the rest of the body.
The feet are the foundation for the rest of the body and it is important that they are aligned correctly to give adequate support for the rest of the structure.
