Description YHA Golden Bay hostel is located in the town of Takaka at the “Heart of the Parks” at the top of the South Island. This is the perfect spot in Golden Bay to break your journey between Abel Tasman National Park and the Heaphy Track. YHA Golden Bay Annie’s Nirvana Lodge lies just 200m from Takaka town centre and has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Backpackers love to chill out in the cottage garden or relax in the open plan lounge in front of the log fire with the resident cat on their lap. The backpacker accommodation at YHA Golden Bay is private with freshly made beds, luxurious hot showers and coffee or tea awaiting you. This Takaka hostel also has two well-equipped kitchens as well as a BBQ – perfect for the long, warm Golden Bay summer evenings. Bikes are available to use to explore around Takaka and further afield in Golden Bay. Te Waikoropupu (Pupu) Springs are only a bike ride away. The bus drops off at the hostel door in Takaka.
