YHA Hanmer Springs, Kakapo Lodge is a two-storey purpose built backpacker hostel with a relaxed friendly atmosphere. This modern hostel is located just 200m (literally a three minute walk) from the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa and the village centre with all its many cafes, shops and restaurants.
Relaxing inside the YHA Hanmer Springs hostel is easy with its log fire, underfloor heating, movie hire, large kitchen and open common room. The backpacker accommodation at this Hanmer Springs hostel is spacious and well thought out with storage space and a table in each room. All ensuite accommodation has free towels as well as free soap and shampoo. In winter we’ll keep you nice and warm at the Hanmer Springs hostel with extra blankets and extra heating provided if needed.
