Description
The Building Biology and Ecology Institute runs the following courses and workshops:
· Certificate in Ecological Building and Design, an online course run in conjunction with Aoraki Polytechnic www.aoraki.ac.nz. This covers the Principles of Ecological Building and Design, Building and Site Design, Materials and Construction, Energy and Alternative Energy, Water and Wastewater;
· Design Your Own Eco Home Workshop, an intensive weekend workshop for those wanting to design their own Eco Home. Over the weekend theory is balanced with practical sessions. By the Sunday night those who attend with design projects will have concept sketch plans of their homes;
· Eco Builders Workshop, a one and a half day weekend workshop designed especially for builders interested in using healthy and ecologically sound practices in their building.
The BBE also has Eco information available for purchase, and will do health and environmental audits of house designs.
