In our book, a happy farm equals the best tasting food. It's a simple equation - well it is for us. The better we look after our piggies, the more natural their environment, the more you will enjoy the bacon.
Sad to say, that's not always the case with most piggies having a sad time of it. No blue skies, no green fields, no rooting, rummaging and playing... Thats why we figured someone had to bring back a more natural way.
Sadly most of the bacon and pork consumed in NZ isn't free farmed. Those crates and concrete pens are widely used worldwide and yes...even here in NZ.
So PLEASE read the label carefully... look for the SPCA tick and our Free-farmed logo.. it's your guarantee its farmed without those crates and pens.
How you can help...
Have a tantrum until your butcher and supermarket stock Freedom Farms. Then, give them a cuddle when they do...
