Green Bean Kids Ltd

Description:
Green Bean Kids Ltd is a New Zealand company, founded by twin sisters Angela Mead and Meredith Barry-Walsh in 2007. We were inspired to create a baby wear collection that combined beautiful organic and eco-friendly bamboo fabrics with contemporary styling for babies and children up to 3 years.
We wanted to create a collection of baby wear that was super soft, beautifully styled and was good for babies and the environment. All our garments are manufactured exclusively in New Zealand and are incredibly well made. By keeping the operation in New Zealand we are able to keep control of our high quality standards, provide great service to our customers, and manufacture New Zealand garments that are ethically made and offer great value.
10 Reasons why you should purchase green bean clothing.
All our garments are manufactured in New Zealand. This means that you can rest assured you are purchasing a garment that is high quality and ethically made.
High quality ecologically friendly fabrics. At green bean we have sourced the highest quality sustainable fabrics in our collections. We have included 5% spandex to ensure that the garments you purchase will keep their shape wear after wear.
Certified. Our fabric supplier has Oeko-Tex 100 certification for bamboo fabric and EU certification for organic cotton fabric. The factory is ISO 14000 accredited which means it meets the criteria set out by ISO for environmental policy waste water discharge and management.
Water based screen prints. All screen printed garments are screened using solvent free water based ink which is kinder to the skin and the environment. Also means you can iron right over the top of them without smearing the screen!
Machine Washable. Our garments are easy care which means you can wash them on a gentle cycle in cold or warm water and hang to dry.
Incredibly soft. Our bamboo fabric is super soft naturally. there are no treatments needed finishing the fabric this is because bamboo fibre is naturally rounded and smooth having no spurs. People who complain about itchiness from wool fibres do not experience this with bamboo.
Attention to detail. At green bean we use nickel free snap domes in our production. We also source eco-friendly tagua nut, coconut and shell buttons for our collections.
Recycled paper. All our swing tags, business cards, postcards are printed on recycled paper using vegetable inks.
Our fabrics are dyed with low impact dyes which are kinder to the environment. A low impact dye is a dye that has been classified by the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (an international certification process) as eco-friendly. Generally low impact dyes do not contain toxic chemicals or mordants which fix the dye to the fabric, require less rinsing and have a high absorption rate. High absorption rates and a decreased use of rinse water create less waste water. The waste water is treated before being discharged.
At green bean we are constantly trying to improve to ensure that our business practises are environmentally sustainable.
Our offices are fitted with eco light bulbs, heat pumps and energy efficient insulation.
We do not use excess packaging in our collections. Wherever possible green bean ships fabric in bulk rather than air-freighting.
Guarantee. At green bean we value you as a customer and if you are not 100% happy with your purchase we will exchange it or refund, no questions asked.
Green Bean garments are made with love and care and are exceptionally high quality this means that the garments you purchase from green bean are designed to be passed down and are made to last.
